Hello, lovelies and Happy New Year!
There will always be a book that's sitting on your bookshelf since the beginning of time or a book you promised you'd read next... five months ago. It's a part of a bookworm's life, neglecting a book until dust covers the jacket, only to dig it out when you truly want to read it. There is no denying it, it'd a universal truth.
With the new year come many new releases. So many, in fact, that your wallet is already crying in despair. Add the books you promised you'd buy next & the books you just happened to buy on a whim and there you have it! Your very own recipe for disaster!
Are you all ready for your TBR to grow and grow until it's an uncontrollable mess? Me too! Here's my 2021 TBR with books I already have and need to read!
1. Greek Books (translated or by greek authors)
Some of these books have been sitting on my shelf for gods know how long! It's about time I read them.
I must say, I find it so much easier reading mystery in Greek! It's so much faster and I enjoy it immensely. I usually read books in greek when I want to just read something with ease. I find myself to be able to get through a book written in English a lot easier now, but nothing beats the mother language.
Now, I know Tiger's Voyage and Untamed are fantasy but my 15-years-old self truly believed all of the books in the series would eventually be translated. So, she kept buying them. :)
A special shout out to Maria Brisanaki, for her book Gods & Demons. It might surprise you but there are so few greek fantasy stories that are actually worth reading! The genre is not very developed in Greece and the publishing houses rarely choose to take a fantasy book in as "it is not high demand". Which is so not true! So, congrats on the 2nd reprint of book 1!

2. English book
Yes, I've had these famous titles on my shelf for a year. No, I didn't read a single page.
If you are a mood reader you probably feel me on this but not even once did it feel like the right time to pick them up.
And I know that if I'm not in the right mood there is no way I am going to enjoy the book, so I just kept on postponing them.
I am planning to read some for the Mediaevalthon starting on the 10th of January, so hopefully, I will cross some off the list!
