About the book:
Phantom of the Opera meets Beauty and the Beast in this gothic-inspired dark fantasy romance.
A haunted tower, a mysterious instructor, and the lure of the music of the night. . .
After the death of her father, Aria is left penniless and destitute. To avoid working the streets, she becomes the ward of a Count and moves to a remote town called High Tower.
High Tower is a gloomy place with one vivid attraction: the theater. Lords and ladies come from afar to be seduced by a night of unforgettable entertainment.
Many are warned to stay away from High Tower’s dangerous enchantments, but it’s a warning Aria is forced to ignore. Determined to take her life back into her hands, she and the Count make a deal. She can avoid an arranged marriage if she learns to sing for him.
When Aria stumbles across a mysterious man in a dark tower, she begs to learn the power of song from him. Although reluctant, the man agrees to teach her the music of the night. Between midnight meetings and emotional singing lessons, Aria falls in love with her alluring instructor despite his shadowy past.
But something deadly stirs, awoken by the desire of its master.
Evening reveries become haunted with terror, blood, and murder. Rumors claim the man in the tower is behind the madness that haunts High Tower, a truth Aria is loath to believe. For she just gained the desire of her heart.
What she doesn’t know is that her haunted instructor intends to use her for his own purposes. . .
Music of the Night is a complete, stand-alone novel inspired by Phantom of the Opera. Perfect for fans of dark and steamy fantasy romance.

"I’m thrilled to be a part in this tour! Music of the Night is a gothic retelling of Phantom of the Opera filled with romance by Angela J. Ford that I am soooo looking forward to reading!🤩"
Day 2
Excerpt:
"My fingers moved, catching the cadence of the wordless song as though it were the wail of a creature in profound anguish, crying for what it suffered, yearning for solace just out of reach. It tugged on my heartstrings, as though the call were for me and me alone, as though I could answer it and bring it comfort."
Day 3
"The book is great and the first chapters are interesting. The plot has an heavy aura of mystery and gloom. The cover is so pretty and I really love how beautiful her writing is.
It is a good mixture of action, tragedy, romance and music."

“Are you real?” I whispered. “If so, come to me, send me a sign, teach me the music, your music of the night and I will sing, I will sing for you.”

Day 7
"I really liked the story. It was dark, romantic, quite interesting because of the mysterious attitude of Uriah and the horrible deaths by some creature. The depiction of singing scenes was so detailed that I really wanted to hear the music Aria and Uriah produced."
Day 8
"Have you read or watched the film or the musical The Phantom of the Opera? Did you love it?
Do you love dark, gothic, atmospheric, romance retellings? Because if you do, I recommend you reading this.
First of all, I wanna preface this by saying that I'm OBSESSED with The Phantom of the Opera (the musical and the movie one bc I haven't read the book yet). And this book gave me all the feels. I love this concept and I like how the author shaped the Opera Ghost.
It was so mesmerizing. I was entranced and in awe the whole time I was reading it. The plot was fast-paced and surely a page-turner. It's so well-done that the flow of the story just falls into place. Mind you, this book was just 200+ pages long and I still grew fond of the characters. I feel Aria's passion, pain, longing, and at the same time Uriah's strength, struggle, and perseverance. It was a wonderful experience, I must say.
I also love the way the author describes things in the story. Like the appearance of the characters and the setting. Reading this book feels like a poem, a song, bar after bar. It's melodic, it draws me in much deeper into the story. I teared up reading this book and I'm lying if I don't say that this book was made for me.
One thing that I would love to see in this book was the songs. I wish the author added an interlude, a tiny excerpt to the songs that they sing especially the one written by the Opera Ghost, Uriah. I think, nay, I know that this would add more depth and emotion to the readers, or at least for me.
And, lastly, I now have a new addition to my fictional crushes. And that is none other than Uriah. The beautiful, the mysterious Opera Ghost of my life." @cosmothedreamer
Day 9
"The fact that this was compared to the Phantom of the Opera is what made me want to read this book in the first place. I love PotO and any music-related book in general so of course, I had to read it and it did not disappoint one bit! It was so good and steamy (for a fantasy book), and just so entertaining. I loved that there was a mystery surrounding the tower and what was happening at the theatre! It was all so compelling and just made the read incredible!! And it was a pretty fast read too! You won’t be able to put it down. And the romance was so good!! Their connection, the way they sang together oof. It was amazing and hot!!
I called one of the plotlines early on but was still so surprised in the end when all the story was told! It was so interesting and kind of insane. I highly recommend this one to be fantasy and romance reads because this is both and it’s so damn amazing!"

Day 10
Q&A with author Angela J. Ford & @pavlinamich
Q: What inspired you to write Music of the night?
A: I was reading Curse Painter by Jordan Rivet, it's book one in her Art Mages of Lure series, and I loved it. I got the idea of writing a romance between singers who use magic, and then I remember that I LOVE Phantom of the Opera and decided to write a story inspired by it.
Q: Describe your book in three words.
A: Haunting, sexy, heart-wrenching.
Q: Who is your favorite character from all your books?
A: It's difficult to choose a favorite character because I love them all, but I had fun writing the relationship dynamic between Citrine and Tor Lir in the Legend of the Nameless One Series
Q: Tell us a little bit about your next project.
A: I'm currently working on an epic fantasy romance trilogy. The first book in the series is Treachery of Water and tells the tale of a mad sorceress who escapes from a crypt with a plan to dominate the known world. A water nymph who goes ashore in search of a magical remedy. A librarian who summons a jinn when she opens a forbidden magical book. A bounty hunter who is forced to choose between love and duty.
